We went to see Grandpa tonight, he was looking really great and the kids now have another leg to be fascinated over. Grandpa had polio on his one leg and now has a mile long, stapled up scar on his other leg where the Dr.s had to borrow a vein to fix some bad arteries on his heart. LONG story, but he is at a rehab clinic now recovering from a triple bypass surgery following a pretty scary heart attack. (Go here for the whole story, http://wandpevans.blogspot.com/2009/04/when-life-gives-you-lemons.html) We all, especially Neil I think, have been so worried about him and are glad to have him on the mend. Neil is my little tender heart, he has been asking to have prayers over every meal, snack and treat just as an excuse to spend 99% of the time asking for his Grandpa to feel better and that his heart will get fixed and the Dr's will know what to do. He told me tonight that he wanted to have a little talk with his Nurse; he chickened out at the last minute but I thought it was cute when he was saying it so assertively. The kids getting a good gander at Grandpas leg: :
