<--Does this make me a bad mother? It seem like all the things we did as kids are taboo these days.

Neil knows just how you feel Stephanie. He has been like a little zombie wandering around the house without Ruth to spar with. There is only so much qubo a kid can watch. (And shapes they can cut out...as fun as it is for him to hold sharp implements such as scissors apparently that gets old too.) We have found another short term solution from his endless battle against ennui. I gave him a hammer and some caps. He was so excited to have some manly business to be about. After he'd finished with those, he caught himself a raggedy moth and proudly brought it in so it could 'play with me' and lost it in my bedroom. :::shudder::: "Here moffy moffy" he kept calling as he looked for it. And yes, my valiant little man found it! Keep the bugs out of my room! Boys are great.

Maybe Payton could come play with him next week. I think she would love to be out of the house and maybe Neil could teach her not to be scared of flys.
